Tüm YazılarıThe Abraham Accords are a series of bilateral agreements that were reported to aim at normalizing diplomatic relations between Israel and several Arab countries under the mediation of U.S. President Donald Trump's administration in 2020.
These agreements aim to promote economic, commercial, technological, security, and tourism cooperation, but they do not resolve the Palestinian issue.
In fact, they prefer to make this issue forgotten.
Why was the name “Abraham” chosen?
The name was chosen as a reference to Prophet Abraham, who is regarded as the common ancestor of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. These three religions are known as the “Abrahamic religions.” The purpose of the agreement was supposedly to emphasize the shared religious and cultural heritage of Jews and Arabs/Muslims and to deliver a message of peace and dialogue. In the Torah, Abraham is mentioned as the ancestor of the Jewish people.
In the Qur’an, he is an important prophet in Islam and the father of Prophet Ishmael. In Christianity, he is also remembered as an example of faith.
Abraham’s relationship with the three religions
• Judaism: Abraham is the ancestor of the Jewish people.
The covenant he made with God is one of the foundations of Judaism.
The Jewish lineage continues through his son Isaac.
• Christianity: Abraham is regarded as a model of faith and obedience.
He appears in the genealogy of Jesus.
In the New Testament, he is referred to as the “father of faith.”
• Islam: Abraham is a prophet devoted to pure monotheism.
It is believed that he built the Kaaba together with his son Ishmael.
This shared heritage gives the agreement, at least on the surface, a symbolic sense of unity.
Which countries signed it?
The first signatures were placed in Washington on September 15, 2020.
The main countries that signed or normalized relations were:
• United Arab Emirates (UAE): The first and leading country.
• Bahrain: A signatory together with the UAE.
• Morocco: Joined in December 2020 in exchange for U.S. recognition of Western Sahara.
The relationship between Israel’s Abraham Accords and interfaith dialogue activities
Interfaith dialogue was presented as a process of constructive conversation, meetings, and interaction among people belonging to different religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam, etc.) in order to develop mutual understanding, respect, tolerance, and cooperation. Its visible purpose was to reduce conflict, find common values, and support peace. However, in practice, it developed as a process of tolerating every form of oppression, violence, genocide, and hostility committed by Jews and Christians against Muslims.
The process of interfaith dialogue has a direct connection with the Abraham Accords. The name and text of the Abraham Accords were chosen with reference to Prophet Abraham, the common ancestor of the three Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam).
The declaration of the agreement explicitly includes the statement: “We encourage interfaith and cultural dialogue among the three Abrahamic religions.” In other words, although the agreements are political steps, they were strengthened through the discourse and symbolism of interfaith dialogue.
Al-Aqsa Flood left the Abraham Accords without results
Approximately one month after the Al-Aqsa Flood operation of October 7, 2023, decisions were taken at the Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League, held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, on November 11, 2023, with the participation of 57+5 countries.
Through these decisions, the member states declared their red lines regarding the Palestinian issue.
Among the issues reaffirmed by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Member States of the Arab League in support of the Palestinian cause in the 31-point joint declaration were the following:
The recognition of all inalienable rights of Palestinian refugees, including the right of return and the right to compensation, was also among the conditions.
As long as the State of Israel is not held accountable for what are described as crimes of genocide, Muslim peoples will not accept the participation of their governments in such an agreement.
Israel does not take seriously the countries with which it seeks to sign the Abraham Accords
While the political position of Islamic countries remains as described above, the Prime Minister of Israel stated on February 28 that the real purpose of the war launched together with the United States against Iran was to establish a new oil order in which Middle Eastern oil would be distributed through Israel. He also threatened the entire region with war.
In addition, false-flag operations are frequently organized in order to encourage the peoples of the region to fight one another.
On the one hand, no peace agreement brought forward while Israel continues to pursue the idea of the Promised Land can be meaningful or implementable. On the other hand, abandoning the idea of the Promised Land would theoretically mean the end of Zionism itself.
This should not be forgotten.
Hakan Fidan explained this for the first time
When Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan was asked about U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal that regional countries join the Abraham Accords, he first listed what he described as Israel’s inhumane activities and then drew attention to a cooperation-based “regional platform.”
He stated that Pakistan, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the Gulf countries could be included in this framework and that Iran could also participate in the process if the necessary conditions emerged.mFidan stated that Israel could also join the process if it recognized a Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders.
He said, “If this problem is resolved, I believe that Israel’s security would also be strongly supported by the countries of the region.”
This statement suggests that within a political platform that includes both Sunni and Shia Islamic countries, Israel could also be included as a regional country if it fulfills the required conditions. This is a very important proposal.
Muhammadan agreements in history
Islamic history is our most important reference.
The law brought by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the spirit of the conquests: there is no oppression, there is justice; there is not the sword, there is mercy. He won conquests not with blood, but with hearts. When he migrated to Medina, he signed the Constitution of Medina, the first constitutional agreement in history. Muslims, Jews, and polytheists enjoyed equal rights under a single city-state. He established a pluralistic society based on the principles of collective defense, freedom of religion, and justice.
In 628, during the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, he accepted conditions that appeared to be against his interests.
However, as described in Surah Al-Fath, this was in fact a clear victory. During the Conquest of Mecca in 630, he demonstrated a remarkable example of mercy. He did not allow bloodshed and declared a general amnesty. He destroyed the idols, but he did not harm people. By saying, “There is no blame upon you today,” he even forgave his former enemies. He concluded peace agreements with neighboring tribes and granted security of life and property as well as freedom of worship in exchange for jizya. This is how the legal status of the dhimmis emerged. Non-Muslims were placed under protection, and their religions were not interfered with.
When Umar conquered Jerusalem in 638, he maintained the same spirit. Through the Covenant of Umar, he guaranteed Christians the security of their lives, property, churches, and worship. He said, “We will not interfere with your churches.” He laid the foundations for the peaceful coexistence of the three religions in Jerusalem.
The Umayyads of Al-Andalus carried this spirit of tolerance to its highest level for centuries on the Iberian Peninsula. Muslims were a minority, while Jews and Christians flourished in science, art, and trade. Cities such as Cordoba and Toledo became cradles of civilization. The period known as “Convivencia,” or coexistence, emerged. Dhimmis who paid jizya were free to practice their religion and customs.
When Salah al-Din Ayyubi recaptured Jerusalem from the Crusaders in 1187, he distributed justice rather than revenge. Despite the oppression committed by the Crusaders, he granted protection to Christians and Jews. He safeguarded the holy places and recognized the authority of the Orthodox Church. His mercy even earned the admiration of Europe.
When Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror captured Constantinople in 1453, he converted Hagia Sophia into a mosque. However, he granted broad freedoms to the Greeks, the Genoese, and others. Through the Galata Charter and the Bosnian Charter, he protected churches and patriarchates. He issued decrees declaring, “Let no one harm them.” This was written into the history of human rights in golden letters.
When Sultan Selim I took Jerusalem in 1517, he followed the path of Umar and Salah al-Din Ayyubi. He renamed the city Kudüs-ü Şerif. He confirmed existing rights, ended sectarian conflicts, and began four centuries of Ottoman peace.
What is Muhammadan law?
Muhammadan law means ruling hearts even if lands are conquered by the sword. The conquests were built upon justice, protection, freedom of religion, and coexistence. A civilization was born that spread mercy rather than oppression. This heritage still proclaims to the world today the supremacy of justice. This is the spiritual heritage underlying the statement, “The world is bigger than five.”
The light inspired by history is illuminating our path once again. All developments point to this. For the last two hundred years, humanity has been deceived by false promises of justice, false freedom, false prosperity, and false peace. But the end of this false civilization has arrived. It is impossible for the Abraham Accords, which are viewed as an attempt to legitimize the interests of genocidal Israel and its gradual occupation, to function or be implemented.
Not only Muslims, but all humanity, which has reached the point of suffocation, needs a new breath.
Just as Loukas Notaras, the Megaduke of Constantinople in the final days of Byzantium, said, “I would rather see the Ottoman turban than the cardinal’s hat in my country,” the world has once again reached the same point. The inspiration taken from history is once again illuminating the way forward. All developments show this. For the last two hundred years, humanity has been comforted with false justice, false freedom, false prosperity, and false peace. But the end of this false civilization has come. The Abraham Accords, which are an attempt to legitimize the interests of genocidal Israel and its gradual occupation, cannot continue or be implemented.
Not only Muslims, but all of humanity, which has reached the point of suffocation, needs a new breath. Just as in the last days of Byzantium, the Megaduke Loukas Notaras said, “I would rather see the Ottoman turban in my country than the cardinal’s hat,” today the world has reached a similar point again. In Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Libya, Sudan, Ukraine, Iran, Lebanon, and many different parts of the world, can those who have killed millions, or those who remain silent while turning these tragedies into profit, be a hope for humanity?
The United States alone has spent 8–9 trillion dollars on these wars. If even one-tenth of this money had been spent on saving lives instead of taking them, perhaps today most of the world would admire the United States instead of feeling hatred.
But today, after Israel, the United States is one of the most hated countries in the world. In other words, they spent 9 trillion dollars and gained the world’s hostility.
Despite its weaker economy, Türkiye is the country that provides the most humanitarian aid in the world. People do not love Türkiye because it is rich or powerful, but because it is just, humanitarian, and has a clean historical legacy that inspires trust.
Look at how Türkiye solved the Libya issue. Look at how it handled the PKK issue. Examine how it managed the Syria issue. See what it has done in Somalia and Sudan. Look at its efforts regarding Ukraine, Palestine, Lebanon, and Iran.
In none of these cases is there killing; there is life. There is no oppression; there is hope.
There is no hatred; there is love. Because the world needs love, justice, prosperity, security, and hope. These values exist in the spirit of Islam, in the practice of the Muhammadan way of life, and in the glorious pages of Turkish history. Today, Türkiye and Muslims are presenting such a system to humanity again. This is not rhetoric.
The world is at the dawn of a bright birth
The first step of the Muhammadan Agreement has already begun with countries such as Türkiye, Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and others. All Gulf countries, as well as Jordan, Syria, and Iraq, will gradually join this process. As Hakan Fidan also mentioned, if Iran turns its hostility toward Sunni countries into peace, it may also join this alliance. In addition, Asian countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, and Bangladesh, and African countries such as Sudan, Libya, Algeria, and Somalia, will gradually take their place in this structure. When such developments occur, unpredictable effects will emerge and the world will move toward a completely new balance. This is not an illusion or a dream. It is a clear reality.
The era of Muhammadan Agreements has begun. From now on, this process will be discussed, whether the oppressors want it or not.
Note: Here, “Muhammadan” is not used as a theological concept like Judaism or Christianity, but as a technical term referring to political, legal, and diplomatic agreements regulating state relations.
