The USA can lead to an increase of the instability in the region by providing Gulf States arms. The principal aim can be said to have military power ready for a conflict in the whole region and to pave the way for a state of chaos. Aforementioned states should realize this plan and should not be deceived in any way. Otherwise, the conflicts set like a time bomb are inevitable.

The USA after September 11 attacks first occupied Afghanistan and then Iraq by imposing on the international public opinion in the context of “fight against terrorism” that resistance organizations like Al-Qaeda are threats for the whole world particularly for the Middle East. “Providing arms to Gulf States” are one of the disasters in the Middle East region by the USA administration. Iran’s attempts of nuclear program are demonstrated as a threat not only for the region but also for Gulf States (Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Bahrain).

Muslim countries were the best customers of the USA that exported 38,1 billion $ arms in 2009. In 2009 merely the United Arab Emirates bought approximately 8 billion $ arms from the USA. One of the best customers of the USA is Afghanistan (5,4 billion $) that is always on the agenda with suicide attacks and conflicts.(Click - 1)

The reasons of it are given below:

- Considering the developments in the Middle East countries as of today, any country in the region is facing serious problems. For this reason, a country that is facing an internal threat does not want to have a problem with the outside world.
- When the USA occupied Iraq in March 2003, ethnic and denominational conflicts, especially in Iraq, arose. Thus, these countries started to deal with their internal dynamics by leaving many problems such as border and water problems aside.
- Whereas in the past the countries in the Middle East were fighting among themselves, now they are seen as threats. This war is carried out by the organizations that are against the administrations in the countries which become a threat. For instance, Iran speaks to the world through the outside organizations. It is also striking that not only the countries in the region but also the Western countries and the USA consider Tehran responsible for the uprising of al-Houthi movement in Yemen that has become popular in these days against the Yemen administration.

Consequently, the USA is trying to create a new market for its “Arms Selling Companies” by displaying Iran as a serious threat for Gulf States. In that sense, the USA sells arms to Gulf States, particularly Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, in significant numbers by using Iran’s nuclear program as an excuse. According to news, arms export of the USA has increased 4,7% despite the economic crisis in the world. The USA tries to escape from the economic crisis by frightening Gulf States with the threat from Iran. Considering that Gulf States buy arms in serious numbers from the American arms companies and they do not involve in this war, it is very interesting that why and where these arms will be used. However, it will be useful to indicate the possibility that these arms can lead to an internal turmoil in Gulf States in the future.
