Following text is a declaration made by the Institute of Strategic Thinking (IST) with the support of a group of concerned people, as a reflection on the resolution adopted by European Parliament and Pope Francis’ remarks on the issue of “1915 Armenian Events” during the First World War period in the Ottoman territories.
ADDIS ABABA. After declaring 2005 as “the year of Africa”, Turkey started to bring to fruition the African expansion in the real sense. Since 2002, Turkey has increased its number of embassies in Africa to 39, and later on, increased the trading volume only with Sub-Saharan Africa up to 7.5 billion dollars, which used to be a billion before this development.
What happened on January 7, 2015 in Paris at the headquarters of the French satirical weekly magazine Charlie Hebdo is a despicable and an absolutely inexcusable crime. Nothing can justify murder, let alone the peaceful person murder in cold blood. The right to life is the most fundamental right protected by all international charters and conventions.

The 4th Arab-Turkish Congress of Social Sciences (ATCOSS) is gathering in Jordan in a critical period in the Middle East during the dates 26-27 October 2014 in the Petra University, Amman, Jordan. The Congress will focus on “economy, education and development” as the main source of the problems in the Middle East without being consumed by current political developments.
The course of dreadful events happening in the Middle East in the last years has taken a lot away from humanity. If we look at the events from the perspective of Bosnian politician Alija Izzetbegovic renowned as "Wise King", none of these events have a "humane trait" because all the wars that have been fought and all the policies that have been developed to address these wars are based on interest, benefits and needs.
On Friday, 29 August, the Institute for Strategic Thinking organized a conference entitled “Turkey-Somalia relations” with the participation of the president of the Federal Republic of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud. President Mohamud issued statements on Somalia-Turkey relations, the terror organisation Shabab and the future of Somalia.
