French intervention in Mali Under the Light of Recent Developments in Africa
The civil conflict in Mali and the collapse of sovereignty prepared the stage for the former colonial powers to intervene into the continent with different motivations. Particularly, the operations of Western countries like France, with a long history of colonialism in the continent, on Rwanda, Libya, Cote d’Ivory and lastly Mali creates certain question marks in international public opinion concerning the foreign policy of Mali and the future of Africa. The Institute of Strategic Thinking (SDE) moving from the case of Mali helds a round table meeting on the recent events in Africa with the participation of many experts on Africa. After the presentation of Ambassador Mohamed El Fatah Naciri, the Mission Chief of Arab League for Turkey, the round meeting discussions started and the issue was extensively discussed with the participation of representative of related governmental institutions and many experts on the region.
