The Mavi Marmara report that the United Nations (UN) has Geoffrey Palmer and his fellows prepared contains many elements tagging the method of Israel’s action up to date. Israel has a method of conducting all tasks related to the international law via rigging and hasn’t misled anybody yet. However, this time there is Turkey on the counter side which is sensitive against the riggings in courts, wars, matches and tenders through blackmail and bribery.   

With President Abdullah Gul’s consideration of the report as “something to be neglected” we can say that for Israel nothing will be as good as in the past. The Palmer report has an endeavor to make the Mediterranean an Israeli lake by incredibly justifying her action in international waters. In addition to Gul’s neglecting the report the sanction package of five articles that the Minister of Foreign Affairs Davutloğlu declared assesses that Turkey will not let fait accompli of Israeli lake as the “guarantor of navigation freedom of Mediterranean

Just two years ago a report which was prepared by Richard Goldstone for the UN concerning Gaza blockade and attack and which for the first time obviously convicting Israel. The report created a surprise to the international public opinion which was accustomed to except Israel from any judgment, criticism and international law and rule for its obvious accusation. After a short while Richard Goldstone was said to have relinquished from the content of the report. It was not something common that a reporter relinquish from the report that he personally prepared but when the case is that of Israel this kinds of things come out to be possible. As can be clearly estimated Israeli authorities succeeded to retreat the report via ant kind of trick and oppression means. This was interestingly considered to be a success of PR work of Israel. However this case constitutes a good example to understand how Israel conducts her tasks.

Israel works like a “propaganda machine” as well as she is a war and destruction machine. Propaganda has no way out but for distorting the realities when it requires persuading people concerning its rightness in case of unfair issues. Then propaganda aims to create an ideology that the realities are distorted and made be felt as something else. It should be appreciated that Israel succeeded this up to date. All perceptions concerning super power, intelligence, invincibility, irresistibility, and incontestability of Israel are the product of this propaganda.  

One’s impression of seeming powerful is as much as important as his actual power. And one’s power is related to the others’ potential to give in it.

When the relations with Israel comes on to the stage the propaganda machine steps in at home and abroad stretches its imagination concerning the consequences of a probable Turkish-Israel conflict. Actually this is ideology itself: the image of distorting the realities.

The extreme imaginations concerning the badness of Israel conversely reinforce this ideology. Thus, do not stick into anti-Semitic accusations; in fact some kinds of anti-Semitism create some fatalist and obedient subjects by exaggerating the power of Israel. The espials tracing Zionism under every case produce similar internalized fatalism.

Of course, the power of Israel in certain fields should not be underestimated. It has a great amount of money, it has the US behind her, it has a powerful intelligence and a terror that doesn’t follow any rule and etc. We have already seen and will see that all these factors fall against a brave and decisive will.

There is a reality that even those who warned Turkey in such a manner that would push Turkey to a coward position noticed: that Turkey hasn’t lost any thing for her attitude against Israel and conversely she came out ahead. Contrarily, the so called good relations with Israel has had great costs and Turkey is released both from this costly relations and also get into more profitable relations as she returns to its natural position against Israel.  

Relatively the most convincing profitable field in Turkish Israel relations is defense industry for Turkey. However, even in this field Israel needs these relations more than Turkey. Thus the break of these relations will not cost Turkey as much as Israel. Israel has strategic loses in this context. The relations of Turkey in defense industry impede the development of defense industry in Turkey very obviously. The herons that Turkey bought from Israel at a very critical time concerning struggle against terrorism came out to be broken. What is more Turkey has the capacity to make these devices.

It is not possible not to wonder the main cause that convinced Turkey to enter into such as costly deal. Some of them may be due to this ability of propaganda but there are more import factors that made our party persuaded by this propaganda. Today these factors came out to be void and this conjuncture will bring many profits to Turkey.
